Cloud Computing has been in the news since a long time but I never found it important enough to take the pains to know something about the same.
What I understand by cloud computing is something this:

This basically explains our main term: Computing with drives resembling capacities of clouds is cloud computing.If all your files,photos,videos,absolutely any kind of data can be accessed from anywhere in the world using any PC or mobile having an internet facility then this is done using Cloud Computing.
You just need an internet connectivity that's it.Examples are galore:Facebook,Gmail,Google Drive,etc.Send emails and receive the same through the cloud(Internet).

There are various types of clouds:public,private,hybrid and community clouds based on their locations or SaaS,PaaS,IaaS based on their services.

Hybrid:

Community:
Shared by different organisations. e.g. In a country,the government can have a community cloud where the different ministries share the cloud.
SaaS: Software as a service.These are offered over the internet and do not have to be purchased or installed on individual computers. e.g. Gmail,Amazon.They were also called ASPs earlier.(Application Service Providers).
PaaS: Platform as a service.Platform delivered as a service over the Internet by the provider.
IaaS: Infrastructure as a Service.A Virtual environment like a server is provide as as service over the internet.
